Call for Special Sessions

The 6th International Conference on Multimedia Analysis and Pattern Recognition - MAPR 2023 cordially invites the researchers to submit your research articles for the special session: AI-Enabled Hardware and System-on-Chip and Applying AI to Build Security Solutions for Protecting Information Systems.

1. Special Session: AI-Enabled Hardware and System-on-Chip

Aims and Scope

AI-enabled Hardware and System-on-Chip will emerge at both data centers and the edge. AI accelerators for many AI applications are required on hardware to enhance and enable simultaneous computations. AI-related chips rely on hybrid CPU and Accelerators like CPU-GPU, CPU-DSP, CPU-GPU-FPGA, CPU-ASIC and Network-on-Chip will constitute a significant portion of future demand to obtain high performance in Industry 4.0. These hybrid CHIPs are designed fast computation in order to successfully implement Smart Systems using Deep Neural Networks (DNN) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN).

The scope of this session is limited to the following:

  • AI for System-on-Chip and LSI Design
  • Processing hardware accelerators-based SoC
  • High Speed and Low Power Circuits and Systems
  • Hardware design for low-power IoT devices
  • Chip Security, Multiple Security Sensors
  • Computer System Engineering, Simulation and Modeling
  • Autonomous Mobile and Intelligent Robots
  • Intelligent Control for IoT Systems

2. Special Session:  Applying AI to Build Security Solutions for Protecting Information Systems

Aims and Scope

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought numerous benefits to various domains, including multimedia analysis and pattern recognition. However, it has also raised concerns about security and privacy issues. This special session aims to explore the intersection of security and AI, with a specific focus on applying AI techniques to build innovative security solutions for protecting information systems. The session will provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to present and discuss their latest advancements, share insights, and foster collaborations in this exciting and critical area.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Adversarial attacks and defenses in AI-based security systems
  • AI-based intrusion detection and prevention systems
  • Applying machine learning and deep learning for anomaly detection in information systems
  • AI-enabled threat intelligence and threat hunting
  • Intelligent authentication and access control mechanisms using AI
  • AI-driven security analytics and situational awareness
  • Secure data mining and knowledge discovery using AI techniques
  • AI-driven security assessment and vulnerability management
  • Natural language processing and AI for security-related text analysis
  • Case studies and real-world applications of AI-based security solutions
